Controversy is mounting up over the bizarre law enforced by the Haryana State Government. The bizarre diktat asked teachers in Haryana to undergo compulsory `priest training’. Controversies outburst after Government is moving to take action against teachers who refused the training.
Following the diktat’s announcement teachers bunked the bizarre law and refused to do a pujari training to carry out functions of priests ahead of the village fair at Yamuna Nagar Temple. The State Government is about to take disciplinary actions against teachers those who not participated in the priest training happened on October 29.
The Manohar Lal Khattar-led Haryana Government wants the teachers to perform ‘pooja’ and even distribute ‘prasad’ during the ‘Mela’ at the temple. While there has been no comment from the ruling party, the opposition parties are hitting out at the state government for ‘saffronising the entire event’.
