Improper handling by Airline staff, passenger fall off from wheel chair in airport

Controversies become a common thing in the budget carrier IndiGo Airlines. Two days after an incident in which a passenger is mishandled at Delhi Airport a similar case of lack of responsibility happened at Lucknow Airport.

A handicapped passenger who fell off her wheelchair while being assisted by the airline’s staff at the airport. The passenger Urvashi Parikh Viren was injured and immediately rushed to the doctor of the Airports Authority of India and provided first aid.

This is the second time the airlines saying sorry to passenger in a span of 3 days. In a statement, it said that we apologize to Ms. Urvashi Parikh Viren for the mishap which occurred at the Lucknow Airport yesterday at 8 p.m.”

The company explained the incident as follows: Our IndiGo representative was pushing her wheelchair towards the arrival hall. As he was guiding her wheelchair through a vehicular lane, which was dimly lit at that time of the night, her wheelchair got stuck in a deep crack on the tarmac and lost balance and she fell off her wheelchair.
