Three more people arrested in the ongoing anti-corruption purge in Saudi Arabia. As the government tries to seize hundreds of billions of dollars in assets of more than 200 people arrested and detained in luxury hotels in Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia.

First one arrested today was a business tycoon who was called back to Saudi Arabia from abroad and arrested when he came back. Secondly, a billionaire was ordered to turn himself in or be picked up like a common criminal. And the third an official who was called in to discuss an attack that apparently never happened.

Similar to the approach by western prosecutors use with white-collar criminals, Saudi Arabia also looking forward to justifying the arrests as an ordinary part of a plea-bargaining process.

The arrests began suddenly earlier this month, as the government detained more than 200 people, including at least 11 princes, current and former ministers, officers from the military and the National Guard, and some of the kingdom’s most famous investors and businessmen.
