Amala Paul failed to present before Crime Branch Officials: Fahad Fazil and Suresh Gopi moved bail petitions

Film Actress Amala Paul, who was summoned by the Crime Branch over a case relating to allegedly forging documents to register their high-end vehicles in Puducherry. Her advocate informed the Crime Branch that the actress needed more time due to her tight filming schedule.

Although Fahadh Faasil was also summoned by the Crime Branch in a similar tax evasion case, it was not known whether he turned up for questioning. They were served with summons notice in November, asking them to appear at the Crime Branch office in Trivandrum Today.

Fahadh had moved the District and Sessions Court the other day, seeking anticipatory bail. The court will consider the bail plea on Wednesday.

Suresh Gopi, MP, was also issued a notice earlier. Suresh Gopi then moved the High Court for anticipatory bail plea, but the HC asked the actor-turned-politician to appear before the probe team on December 21. The court, while asking him to cooperate with the investigation, also deferred the arrest of Gopi for three weeks.

Crime Branch officials said they would file cases after getting an explanation from the stars. A preliminary inquiry conducted by the Crime Branch found that insurance policies and fake rent contracts were raised to support the claim that the stars were living in Puducherry.
