Now Traffic fine can be paid in installments

Those who are holders of Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) credit cards can now pay their fines exceeding Dh500 in installments, thanks to a memoDurhamof understanding (MoU) between the bank and the Dubai Police.

The fine can be paid in installments of 3,6,9 or 12 months.

The MoU was signed by Brigadier Humaid Salem Khalifa Al Suwaidi, deputy director of finance department of the Dubai Police, in the presence of Brig Naim Khatib, director of the department of wills, and Lt Hussein Al-Abdouli, head of the traffic fines collection.

Brigadier General Abdullah Al-Marri, commander-in-chief of the Dubai Police, said that the signing of the agreement was aimed at strengthening partnerships to achieve communication and innovation. The pact provides a new and easy channel for the customers so that they can pay the traffic fines in instalments.

He pointed out that the innovative service has been initiated by the Dubai Police as part of its strategic plan to facilitate clients, have partnership with the private sector, and to bring about happiness to the community through a series of services across several channels and outlets.
