Auto rickshaw driver throws acid on woman after she rejects marriage proposal
In a shocking incident reported from a colony on the outskirts of Jaipur, Bhatta Basti, a man has been arrested for throwing acid on a woman.
An auto rickshaw driver in Jaipur, 41-year-old Mehboob, threw acid on a 27-year-old woman after she refused to marry him..

Mehboob had already been divorced twice and abandoned by his third wife because of his illicit relationships, when he started forcing the victim to marry him.
Mehboob threw acid on the woman near a mall, where she worked.
The woman has suffered 15 per cent burn across her body while Mehboob himself has suffered 20 per cent burns. The two are admitted at S.M.S Hospital. The doctors have not declared them to be out of danger yet.
Commissioner of Police, Jaipur, Sanjay Singh has advised the doctors to provide free medical treatment to the victim.
