UAE government job offers for 100 days; check attractive package here

Are you looking for a stable job? In the Emirates? Then check out this attractive package from the UAE government.

A job fair, “Open Day for Direct Recruitment” for UAE citizens provided 130 jobs with salaries ranging from Dhs 9,000 to Dhs 70,000.

Organised by Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation in Dubai, the event offered approximately 130 job opportunities with salaries ranging from Dhs 9,000 to Dhs 70,000.

All the opportunities were in the fields of construction development, aviation, and communication.

Earlier this month, the ministry had announced a programme to create jobs for Emiratis in three key economic and commercial sectors in 100 days, including construction and real estate development, aviation and communication.

The ministry announced that all job seekers participating in the open day have received job opportunities and preliminary approval, adding that some of the people preferred to apply for jobs in public sector, Emarat Al Youm reported.

Noura Al Marzouqi, Assistant Undersecretary for the Services and Strategy Sector, and Acting Deputy Minister for National Human Resources Development said that the 130 vacancies at the recruitment drive were offered by 130 companies on the third day.

She stressed that the opportunities are for both men and women, with a general secondary-school education to Master’s and Ph.D. degrees holders.

Al Marzouqi said that since the beginning, almost 700 job opportunities were proposed at the event. The ministry had contacted local universities for information on graduate citizens who need jobs, followed by contacting companies to provide the citizens with suitable jobs, she added.

She added that there will be other special “open days” in each emirate, including in Fujairah between February 28 to the beginning of March.

The event provided different jobs from around the country for fresh graduates and experienced seekers.

Abdullah Mousa, an Emirati job seeker at the event, said that he holds a general secondary-school certificate, and he is working in a company specializing in water and electricity, yet his salary doesn’t allow him to afford a university education.

He added that he found a Dh16,000 job in a private company at the open day event, but the company said that they would deduct half of his salary if he was absent from work or if he decided to apply to a university.

Talking to an international news agency, another Emirati said that he preferred working in the public sector as there was no job security in the private sector and he could lose his job if the private company’s license was canceled.

“A government opportunity is more secure and stable,” he said.
