Delhi University student leader alleges manhandling by opposition group

Delhi University’s All India Students Association (AISA) chief Kawalpreet Kaur has raised serious allegations against ABVP members on Thursday. She alleged that she was manhandled by some of the male students belonging to the Satyavati College during a programme related to women’s safety.

According to the AISA head, a group of ABVP members in the college tried to interrupt her speech by shouting at her and attacking her. She tried to capture the attack but her phone was snatched and destroyed by the ABVP members. The incident took place when the programme was nearing its end.

Kawalpreet was talking about the issue of online harassment when the BJP student wing started howling. According to sources, they even attacked some professors. It is to be noted that ABVP is one of the major political opponents of AISA which is the student wing of the Communist Party of India Liberation.

There are also reports which suggest that the ABVP members threatened to kill the AISA chief while some of the teachers took the incident lightly.
