This is the final Result of Rajasthan Local Body Bypolls 2018

After the recent victory in the by-election held for MP and MLA seats, Congress yet again swept the local body election in Rajasthan. Elections were held in 21 districts of Rajasthan for electing Zila Parishad members, Panchayat Samiti members and Nagar Palika/Nagar Parishad members on Tuesday, March 6.

Congress won Ajmer, Jhunjhunu, Sirohi, and Tonk for the Nagar Palika/Nagar Parishad member by-election, whereas BJP won both the seats in Dholpur.

For the Zilla Parishad seats out of the six seats Congress won 4 while BJP won 1 seat. One seat was won by Independent.

Panchayat Samiti seat tally is as follows. Of the 21 seat for which elections were conducted Congress won 12 seats and BJP 8, one seat by an independent candidate. Of the 6 municipalities, Congress was able to be victorious in 6 while BJP had to content with just 2.

“It is a yet another victory for party workers. In the last four years, the BJP has exploited people of the state due to its anti-people policies,” Pilot said in a statement. He said the Congress’s voting percentage has increased in all the elections held in last four years whereas the BJP had to face debacles.
