McDonald’s celebrate Women’s Day with this simple weird trick

In the spirit of the celebrations of Women’s Day, fast food franchise McDonald’s celebrates it with this simple wired trick.

McDonald’s have flipped their logo- the traditional iconic ‘M’ now reads as ‘W’.

This isn’t just a business stunt. According to an American business website, this is a way to acknowledge how “women play invaluable roles at all levels“ of the company.

The upside down logo will also be featured on Twitter & Instagram. Additionally, 100 restaurants will have special “packaging, crew shirts and hats and bag stuffers” to celebrate International Women’s Day.

INTERESTING POINT TO NOTE

This latest idea is all well and good, except that in 2016, McDonald’s have been accused of ignoring allegations of sexual harassments. And the company has not been paying its employees their proper wages, most of which are women.

McDonald’s, which considers it women employees as invaluable has filed lawsuits against the increase of minimum wages at the local levels.

Hmmm…

Well, let’s just hope that they will change this attitude and take better care og their women employees on all days, not just Women’s Day.
