ONE PLUS 6- STILL THE FLAGSHIP KILLER?

One plus 6, the successor to the One Plus 5T, is all set to be launched on May 17th in India. With multiple leaks and official teasers doing rounds, the picture is getting clearer with each passing day. Does it still have what it takes to give the leading phone makers a run for their money?

The phone features a notch in the screen and amidst criticisms of One plus is a ‘wannabe’ iPhone, the manufacturers have already started to defend their move. One plus chief Carl Pei had already tweeted exhorting the users to learn to love the notch.

The phone appears to have glass panel at the rear with dual cameras and fingerprint scanner as expected. One plus phones have always borrowed design elements from the Oppo R series and One plus 6 so far has given no hint to be an exception.

The phone will feature a bigger screen, the biggest ever to have so far been on a One plus phone with very thin bezels. One plus 5T had a six-inch screen, so one can expect its successor to have a screen size of 6.28 inches.

The headphone jack seems to have been retained, much to the excitement of music lovers and at the price at which it is offered, it should have water resistance capacity as well. Snapdragon 845 and 8 GB of ram with 256 GB of storage is already confirmed.

But then, what about the price? Rumors indicate that the Indian price could fall somewhere between 40 and 50 k and the image of being a flagship killer has taken some pummeling. A lot of buyers are confused that at that price does it make a good deal with a lot of flagship phones priced around that figure. One can hope that One plus will be aggressive with their pricing
