64 kmph is not a speed that will rack your nerves. On most countries, on a not so bad road, that speed won’t get you in trouble. The car drove itself and he could do so because it was a Tesla with semi autonomous driving function. So Bhavish set this car in the autonomous mode, moved in to passenger seat with hands behind his head as if enjoying his time in Miami beach, leaving all the controls including the steering wheel and pedals unattended. No one has ever trusted technology so much recently. The middle aged man must have made Elon Musk, the owner of Tesla proud.

However the Tesla engineer said that the “autopilot” options are provided to give assistance to a “completely attentive driver”. But the police said that even though what he did was silly and potentially dangerous, the car in itself was capable of doing something amazing.

Patel pleaded guilty yo the court but was barred from driving for 18 months. The investigating officer said that what Bhavish did was grossly irresponsible and could have ended up in greater tragedy. The witness said the traffic was quite heavy when Bhavish was pulling this stunt.
