In a bizzare incident, Mrs Geetha Modha flew all the way from Manchester to NewDelhi with her husband’s passport. She had not realised that it was the wrong passport in her purse , but the mistake was identified only at NewDelhi. The airport authorities, known for maintaining strict rules and procedures didn’t notice it at her departure airport and it was found only at her destination airport, New Delhi.

With wrong passport Mrs Geetha Modha was denied entry in to India and was immediately send back to Dubai. She was stranded on Dubai airport overnight until Emirates brought her the passport from Manchester.
Geetha’s relative said that is a very shocking and sad incident. He said the mistake was only identified when she was filling the immigration form. Emirates authorities conceded that their “usual high standards ” were not followed. An investigation is going on as to how this mistake happened. Mrs Geetha modha runs the Alankar House bridal shop in Rusholme, greater Manchester.
