Two homosexual Bangladeshi men charged with murder and adultery

Two Bangladeshi men involved in the death of a compatriot were charged with murder and adultery at the Sharjah Criminal Court.

The Sharjah Criminal Court confronted the duo – one of them residing illegally in the UAE – for killing the victim deliberately out of sexual jealousy. One of the defendants was present during the hearing presided by Judge Mahmood Abu Baker. The case was adjourned to bring the second defendant before the court and to get written statement from the deceased’s heirs as the victim’s parents agreed for a blood money.

The case dates back to March 9, 2013.

It was revealed during the police interrogation that the second defendant raped the victim by force two weeks before the crime and as he did not report the incident to the police, he continued to have sex with him.

As per prosecution records, on the day of the incident, the trio consumed alcohol together and one them left the room after a while. When he returned he found the other having sex with the victim and feeling jealous, he took a knife and grabbed the victim.

The suspects also put a cloth in the victim’s mouth to prevent him from screaming for help, according to records.

The second defendant is also charged with adultery, homosexuality and illegal stay in the country. The first accused informed the court that the parents of the victim asking for a large sum of money as blood money.
