A woman who has been abused by her husband and father-in-law has finally registered a case against them after this horrible incident.
A woman’s husband and her father-in-law had shaved her head off, blackened her face and paraded her around the village because she was suspected of having a love affair.
The incident took place at Manchikalapadu in Chimakurthy mandal of Prakasam district, Andhra Pradesh.
The incident took place four days and came to light after the victim Bhagya Lakshmi complained to the police.

Bhagya Lakshmi and her husband Srinivasa Rao have two children. The harassment started eight years after their marriage. Srinivasa Rao and his father Venkaiah suspected the woman was in an extramarital relationship with another person in the village.
What followed was a cruel treatment. Bhagya Lakshmi was forced to slap her own face while walking in front of every temple in the village and take a pledge that she will not repeat the mistake. No one in the village came to her rescue and watched the proceedings quietly.
After the torture, her father-in-law Venkaiah instructed her to go back to home, but relented to the pleas of her family and relatives., But once she reached her husband’s home, she was ordered to live in a separate portion.
Police came to the house and questioned Lakshmi after some locals alerted them about the incident.
Though she refused to lodge a complaint initially, she later filed one against her father-in-law. Ongole Rural circle inspector Murali Krishna said police was investigating the case and assured that action would be taken.
