Model Breastfeeds her Toddler During a Catwalk in Swimsuit: Video

It is sad that there are still so many women who are still being humiliated for breastfeeding openly in public. While it is unfortunate, there are brands like Sports Illustrated that are supporting breastfeeding moms in the most unique way.

Model Mara Martin walked the ‘Sports Illustrated’ swimsuit catwalk while breastfeeding her little girl, Aria. The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Fashion Show that happened on Sunday evening in Miami, Florida has gone viral because of the special appearance of Mara Martin.

Sports Illustrated Swimsuits’ Instagram account uploaded the video and titled it with ‘Girl Power’ This created a wave amongst so many women across the globe and brought them together on the subject of breastfeeding.

Amongst the 16 finalists, one of them Martin from an open casting call at Miami Swim Week for which thousands of women auditioned. They chose a very particular group of women via their videos, Instagram profiles, and interviews. Reportedly their agenda was to let each individual one their true selves, according to the Instagram post made by Martin.

The beautiful mother walked the runway wearing a gold bikini and like a boss, she pulled down one strap of the bikini to feed baby Aria. Baby Aria, on the other hand, wore a soundproofing headphones so that her ears could be protected from the noise.

The Sports Illustrated Swimsuits’ Instagram post captioned the video with ‘GIRL POWER! #SISwimSearch Sweet 16 finalist Mara walks the runway while breastfeeding her five-month-old baby.’

Mara Martin also posted a screengrab of a new lauding her walking on the ramp breastfeeding for which she wrote a humble post thanking everyone and also said, ‘the real reason I can’t believe it is a headline is that it shouldn’t be a headline!!! My story of being a mother and feeding her while walking is just that.
