Man Who Filed a Petition Against the Controversial Novel ‘Meesha’ Changes His Stand

The Malayali settled in Delhi, Radhakrishnan who filed a petition against the controversial novel of Hareesh ‘Meesha’ has changed his stand in the issue. While he initially wanted the book to be banned, he has now said that the book needn’t be banned and that only the controversial parts need to be avoided.

Earlier Supreme Court Chief Justice Deepak Mishra had said that the book needn’t be banned. The court also observed that the controversial part in the book is actually a conversation between two youngsters and that it is not unusual for young men to talk that way.

The novel Meesha was originally published in Mathrubhumi weekly, but following the protest, it was withdrawn from the magazine. Later DC books undertook it’s publishing but Sangh Parivar organizations had come strongly against the Novel.
