“All opponents joined hands only to prevent me from becoming Chief Minister for a second consecutive term.”

“I thought people will bless me once again and make me the chief minister. Unfortunately, I lost, but this is not the end. In politics wins and losses are common,” he asserted.

The Congress leader said he had worked for the welfare of all sections of people during his tenure. “But the people did not support me in the election. These days politics is driven by money power and caste. This is dangerous to democracy.”

Siddaramaiah was at Hadya to take part in the inauguration of a temple.
