Explore Munnar’s enchanting misty mornings with exclusive December packages from KSRTC.

As winter blankets the serene hill station of Munnar, it beckons travelers with frosty mornings, setting the stage for a picturesque experience. With temperatures dropping to 6 degrees Celsius, the regions of Lakkad, Kundala, and Chenduvara are embraced by an intense cold, creating an enchanting atmosphere. Munnar Town and the Nalla Thanni area report slightly higher morning temperatures at 9 degrees Celsius.

Adding to the allure, Munnar experiences snowfall in both mornings and evenings, captivating visitors seeking a festive winter retreat. Vinod Vattekkattu, Managing Committee Member of Kerala Travel Mart, notes a surge in bookings as visitors plan to celebrate Christmas and New Year amidst Munnar’s cold meadows. Hotels in Vagamon and Thekkady are also gearing up to welcome guests for the upcoming winter season.

In line with this, KSRTC offers two winter packages to Munnar. The Vagamon – Munnar trip departs every Friday from Kannur KSRTC depot, featuring attractions like Pine Valley Forest, Vagamon Meadows, and Adventure Park on the first day, followed by Chathurangappara View Point, Gap Road View Point, and Anayirangal Dam on the second day. Priced at Rs 4,100, the package ensures a delightful winter escapade.

For those eyeing the Munnar – Kanthalloor trip, available on December 8 and 27, the journey begins at 7 pm from Kannur depot. Day one unfolds with visits to Eravikulam National Park, Marayoor, and an off-road safari, while day two explores Irachilpara and Periyakanal Waterfalls, along with fruit orchards in Kanthalloor. This enticing package is priced at Rs 2,960, offering a perfect blend of nature and adventure for winter explorers.
