Rahul Gandhi starts a fresh attack against the BJP government

Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Thursday met Indian-origin CEOs of different companies based in Singapore. According to reports, Rahul Gandhi has discussed a range of issues, such as investments, job creation and prevailing economic conditions, with the CEOs.

The Congress chief admitted during the meeting that his party “faced a storm” in 2012 and in the subsequent years “the system was destabilised and we saw the consequences”. “We faced a storm in 2012. Between 2012 and 2014 the system was destabilised and we saw the consequences. We have a clean slate now, and a new opportunity. Mr Gandhi also attacked the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), saying that it is less concerned about peace and tranquillity. “We(Congress) see society as a system that has to be kept in balance. The BJP, on the other hand, is less concerned about peace and tranquillity. We see very serious dangers of polarising society and risks arising from them,” said the Congress President.

Terming the issue of rural-urban migration as a challenge, Mr Gandhi said,“We are seeing the biggest migration of rural people in India. We have challenges.” He also added that his party believes in a peaceful transition that carries everybody together. Mr Gandhi, who is expected to address members of the Indian community here, is scheduled to stay in the country till March 9th before leaving for Malaysia.
