Former President Pranav Mukherjee on Thursday visited the birthplace of Rashtriya SwayamSevak Sangh(RSS) founder Kesham Baliram Hedgewar. There was already a lot of controversies regarding the visit and the latest one has been triggered by Mukherjee’s post in the visitor’s book at Hedgewar’s birth place.

Pranav Mukherjee termed the RSS founder as a great son of mother india. He wrote in the book “Today i came here to pay my respect and homage to a great son of mother India”. He made the visit along with RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.
Many political parties had already raised their concern regarding the visit of Pranab Mukherjee to the RSS headquarters. Mukherjee’s daughter herself had warned her father of the consequences of the visit. Her tweet reads “Hope @CitiznMukherjee now realises from todays’ incident, how BJP dirty tricks dept operates. Even RSS wouldn’t believe that u r going 2 endorse its views in ur speech. But the speech will be forgotten, visuals will remain & those will be circulated with fake statements”
She also said ” @CitiznMukherjee By going 2 Nagpur, u r giving BJP/RSS full handle 2 plant false stories, spread falls rumours as 2day & making it somewhat believable. And this is just d beginning”
Senior congress leader Ahmed Patel also took to Twitter to criticise his visit. He said he didn’t expect this from Pranab Da.
