Delhi CM gives assurance of security to IAS officers, asks them to join work

While the IAS Association clarified that they were ready to work and that they were only concerned about safety, Delhi CM on Sunday assured them ‘safety’ and ‘security’.Addressing the IAS officers as his “family”, Arvind Kejriwal urged them to “stop their boycott of the elected government and return to work”.

As a further step of assurance Kejriwal posted a one-page message on Twitter after IAS officers’ Association expressed their concerns in the press conference on Sunday.

In the Press Conference, IAS officers claimed that they were not on strike but only skipping the meetings which they felt that their “safety” and “self-respect” were at risk. The officers reiterated their pledge to show allegiance only to the law and the constitution and expressed that they were being victimised in a political battle.

IAS Association Secretary Manisha Saxena referring to the alleged attack on Delhi Chief secretary Anshu Prakash by the AAP MLAs, said that they had approached all quarters, including the cabinet secretary, the home minister, the Lieutenant Governor and the Department of Personnel and Training to request for help in ensuring their safety.
