People hardly thinks about other players when they hear the debate of who is the best footballer in the world – it’s either Messi or Ronaldo. The ongoing worldcup so far had contrasting fortunes for both stars, but amidst all the discussions and debates, Brazilian star footballer Neymar Junior has said that he is the best footballer in the world ! But before you curse him for his ‘audacity’ , listen to what he said about Messi and Ronaldo.
“For all modesty, today am the best player in the world – because they(Messi and Ronaldo) are from another planet”, the PSG player was quoted saying in a recent interview. Neymar said that he doesn’t insist on individual recognition that success for his country really mattered to him.
“I don’t want to be the best player in the world, I want to win the world Cup. Winning the World Cup would make myself, my family and my country so happy”, he said.

Brazil, as it is the case in most World Cups are considered as one among the top contenders to lift the cup this year. Neymar says he is ready for the intense moments about to follow. ” Kicking and tackling aren’t my job, if I get kicked, I will keep dribbling and the opposition will get frustrated. If am on the edge, i will calm myself down. I won’t give the referee any chances to send me away” said the 26 year old star striker, considered as one among the best forwards of current generation.
Neymar did sound confident but the Brazilian has not had the best of ‘fitness’ in recent times and all eyes will be on his agility on the field.
