Honda Recalls 7290 Units of Latest Model due to Power Steering Issue

Honda Cars India has officially announced a recall for the all-new Honda Amaze sub-compact sedan for fixing an issue with electric power steering. For catering to this issue, the company has recalled 7,290 units of the new Amaze manufactured in between April 17 to May 24. Available with a starting price of Rs. 5.59 lakh (ex-showroom), the sedan has been recalled by the carmaker within three months of its India launch.

The company has recalled over 7000 units of the second generation Amaze for inspecting the EPS (Electric-Assist Power Steering) Sensor Harness manufactured between April – May are believed to be affected by this issue. The dealerships will fix the problem free of cost if the part is found faulty.

The company also mentioned that the driver might experience a heavier steering wheel and ESP indicator will turn on. Moreover, the company will also replace the EPS column unit if required. The dealerships will be contacting the affected owners from July 26 onwards. Also, the owners can also check, if they are affected by this recall or not, by just entering their VIN on the official website.
