Suresh Gopi had won a lot of hearts at Thrissur with his innovative model of campaign as well as his down to earth nature at Thrissur. The constituency is one of those in which BJP has placed a lot of hope and Gopi’s opposite candidate from Congress- T.N Prathapan expressed concerns about his chances of winning at Thrissur.
It is reported that in a meeting of KPCC leaders, T.N Prathapan opened up his anxiousness about winning at Thrissur.
“There might be surprises in Thrissur. BJP candidate Suresh Gopi’s presence may have affected our chances of winning. Its possible that he managed to consolidate Hindu votes and also RSS had a very organized campaign in the constituency. We might as well expect a negative result when the result comes out” T.N Prathapan is reported to have said in KPCC meeting.
KPCC President Mullapally Ramachandran though sounded confident that Congress is going to win in all 20 seats and the win will be quite easy in at least 5 constituencies.
