Preliminary autopsy: Actor Vinod Thomas died from Carbon Monoxide inhalation

Vinod Thomas, discovered lifeless in a car at Pampadi, faced an untimely demise due to inhaling poisonous gas, as revealed by the preliminary postmortem report. The report specified that the cause of actor Vinod’s death was carbon monoxide inhalation. The incident occurred on Saturday evening, with 47-year-old Vinod found deceased in his car at Kalachantha in Pampadi, near a bar’s parking lot. Papmpadi police initiated an investigation, registering the case as unnatural death, while the Motor Vehicle Department is scheduled to examine Vinod’s car on Monday.

Security personnel at the bar made the grim discovery when they observed Vinod entering his vehicle and noticed an extended absence. Promptly alerting the police, Pampadi SHO Suvarnakumar led the investigation, confirming Vinod’s demise. Subsequently, the body was transferred to Kottayam Medical College Hospital for further examination. Vinod, the son of the late Thankachan and Kunjamma of Meenadom, met his tragic end through carbon monoxide inhalation, as detailed in the preliminary findings.
