Rajasthan Assembly Election : Congress vows caste survey, interest-free loans in manifesto

On Tuesday, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot unveiled the Congress manifesto for the upcoming assembly polls. The manifesto outlines significant pledges, including a caste survey, interest-free loans up to Rs 2 lakh for farmers, and the creation of 10 lakh job opportunities. Additionally, the party committed to panchayat-level recruitment and proposed a special law for implementing Minimum Support Price (MSP) following the recommendations of the Swaminathan Commission.

Other promises in the Congress manifesto include doubling the Chiranjeevi Health Insurance Scheme’s annual benefit for beneficiaries from Rs 25 lakh to Rs 50 lakh. Small traders, shopkeepers, and young entrepreneurs are slated to benefit from interest-free loans of up to Rs 5 lakh. The manifesto release event was attended by party leaders, including Mallikarjun Kharge, Govind Singh Dotasra, CP Joshi, Sachin Pilot, and others at the PCC office. Joshi emphasized that MSP would be aligned with the Swaminathan Commission’s recommendations. Rajasthan is set to go to the polls on November 25, with results expected on December 3.
