A 28-year-old man, identified as Ajamal Shereef, tragically took his own life on Friday, announcing his death on his Instagram page. Ajmal, the son of Padavil Shereef from Kaduppadam near Aluva UC College, was discovered hanging inside his residence at approximately 6:30 pm. According to reports, Ajmal had been grappling with deep depression, primarily stemming from his inability to secure employment in Dubai. Despite relocating to Dubai, he faced challenges in finding a job, intensifying his emotional distress.
Neighbors recounted that Ajmal shared his obituary card on Instagram just 10 minutes before taking his life. The obituary card featured his photo and birth year, with the year of death marked as ‘2023.’ His family members made the devastating discovery of finding him hanging in his room. Despite immediate efforts to get medical help and rushing him to a private hospital in Aluva, doctors declared him dead. Aluva police have initiated further investigations into the tragic incident. The incident underscores the mental health challenges individuals may face, emphasizing the need for support and awareness around mental well-being.
